Careers

Overview

Our most valuable asset is our people. We are always interested in hiring like-minded individuals who will share our values and passion.

We offer a wide range of positions on shore for our freight trading, ship management, financial, and administrative departments. We also offer open positions for masters, officers, engineers, electricians, ratings and cadets on board our managed vessels. We pride ourselves in providing a safe, diverse and pleasant work environment both on shore and on board.

On Shore

We employ professional and motivated employees on shore, in roles ranging from chartering vessels to conducting vetting inspections throughout the world.

When selecting candidates, we carefully consider whether they fit in with our core values and company culture. The high standards we look for in our employees naturally translate to better service for our clients. We offer our shore employees various opportunities to develop themselves such as leadership training and various other educational programs. We constantly encourage our employees to develop new business markets, efficient business methods and innovative ideas.

Teamwork is a crucial factor in our success. Seamless communication between our shore employees, seafarers and port captains is an essential factor in smoothness of complex operations.

On Board

Around 400 seafarers work on board our managed vessels. This number comprises six nationalities; Turkish, Filipino, Indian, Azerbaijani, Georgian and Ukrainian. We are proud to have a seafarer retention rate of more than 90% across the fleet.

We value dedication, hard-work and integrity in candidates. We are dedicated to recruiting and retaining qualified personnel and providing them with a safe and pleasant work environment. Many of our former masters, engineers and officers join our shore teams to work in our ship management department as superintendents, DPAs or newbuilding managers. Masters, officers, engineers, electricians and ratings who are looking to work on board our managed vessels can contact our crewing department or third-party crewing agencies for detailed information.

Trainees and Cadets

We offer trainee programs for cadets (on board) and for students (on shore). We are always on the lookout for young, aspiring individuals.

Our Shipping Trainee Program (STP) is carefully designed to give insights into the real-life shipping environment. Each trainee is rotated between chartering, operations and technical roles where they are assigned various tasks and are encouraged to take responsibility. Successful participants in the program may be offered positions in one of our on shore departments.

Cadets undergo a rigorous and extensive training program during their time at sea on technical, operational and HSEQ matters. This training is supported by our technical department on shore and is designed to provide practical application as well as theoretical knowledge to our cadets.
